Android pilot

Review a journey with its route, data coverage and score.

The Safety Figure Android pilot records personal journeys using suitable movement data after location sharing and device permissions are enabled. Authorised users can review the route and the score of a completed journey in the web application.

Example: travel between two work sites

A participating employee travels between sites with the pilot running on an authorised phone. Suitable movement can start and finish the journey automatically, without a manual trip-start button or vehicle pairing. During review, check the most recent data time before interpreting a map position as current.

Prepare the device and review the record

Confirm the account, workplace and people permitted to review journeys. Install the pilot on a supported Android phone, enable location sharing and grant the necessary permissions. Examine the completed route and scoring coverage in the web application.

  • Use a supported Android 11 or later device for the pilot.
  • Test GPS, network and background-operation behaviour on the intended phone.
  • Review partial or unscored results when the necessary data is missing.

Pilot limits matter

The available pilot is distributed as an APK through the application's Road Safety area; an iOS app and app-store release are not available in the verified scope. A phone cannot reliably distinguish driver from passenger. Road-limit data is not invented, and missing GPS or speed-limit information can limit a score. Confirm country coverage, language, employee information and location-data arrangements before a trial.

Is the map a guaranteed live fleet-tracking service?

No. Freshness depends on device data, connectivity and background conditions; location may be collected less frequently outside a journey. Review the timestamp and coverage, and assess a score in the context of the trip rather than treating it as an automatic judgement about a person.
